Künstler
Tamás Kaszás ist ein Künstler, geboren 1976 in Dunaújváros, Ungarn. Er lebt und arbeitet auf der Szentendre-Insel, in der Nähe von Budapest. In seiner künstlerischen Arbeit beschäftigt sich Kaszás mit Kollektivität, Kollaps, zukunftsfähigen und autonomen Überlebensstrategien des Menschen in der Natur, dabei arbeitet er mit fiktiver Anthropologie und Volkswissenschaften, aber auch spirituellen Wissenschaften.
In Übereinstimmung mit dem konzeptionellen Hintergrund seiner künstlerischen Praxis, arbeitet Kaszás oft mit recycelten Materialien und leicht zugänglichem Design mit einfacher technischer Ausführung. Dabei geht es ihm nicht nur um das Sammeln und Erarbeiten von Volkswissenschaften, sondern auch darum ein kollektives Wissen darüber zu bilden.
Neben Ausstellungen in verschiedenen renommierten Kunstinstitutionen, arbeitet Kaszás auch an Projekten im öffentlichen Raum und setzt seine künstlerische Arbeitsweise in unterschiedlichen Kontexten ein. Kaszás arbeitet mit den Kollektiven Loránt Anikó (Ex-artists’ collective) und Kristóf Krisztián (the Randomroutines). Unter anderem hat er im Cargo Collapsism, Faica Gallery, Bratislava (2012) und Sydney Biennial 2014 ausgestellt.
Während seiner Residency mit BAU in Südtirol (16 – 30 September 2015) realisiert Tamás Kaszás den experimentellen Bienenstock Bauhaus Beehive.

Tamás Kaszás is an artist, born in 1976 in Dunaújváros, Hungary. Today he lives and works on the Szentendrei Islands near Budapest. Through his work, Tamás Kaszás explores notions of collectivity, collapse, sustainability and autonomous survival strategies of human beings in nature, combining fictional anthropology, ethnic studies and spiritual sciences.
In accordance with his conceptual background Kaszás tries to make an economic and ecological art practice using mostly cheap or recycled materials, techniques easily available for everyone and designs easy-to-make structures. For this reason, he not only collects and follows but also wishes to develop the collective knowledge of folk science.
Beyond the institutional art field he is also interested in working in public spaces or using immediate artistic methods. He often works in various collaborations, first of all with Loránt Anikó (Ex-artists’ collective) and Kristóf Krisztián (the Randomroutines). He is widely exhibited in Europe including Cargo Collapsism, Faica Gallery, Bratislava (2012); Sydney Biennial 2014.
During his stay with BAU in South Tyrol ( 16 – 30 September 2015) Tamás Kaszás realizes the project Bauhaus Beehive.

Tamás Kaszás è un artista, nato nel 1976 a Dunaújváros, Ungheria. Oggi vive e lavora sulle isole di Szentendre vicino a Budapest. Il lavoro di Tamás Kaszás si sviluppa attorno ai concetti di collettività, collasso, sostenibilità e strategie di sopravvivenza autonome degli esseri umani nella natura, in una modalità di ricerca che combina antropologia fittizia, studi etnici e scienze spirituali.
In linea con la sua pratica artistica, l’artista spesso usa materiali riciclati ed adopera un design semplice con tecniche facilmente disponibili. In questo modo, egli non solo raccoglie e segue le scienze popolari ma vuole anche formare un sapere collettivo attorno a esse. Oltre ad esporre in istituzioni internazionali, l’artista lavora spesso a progetti di arte pubblica e usa la sua metodologia artistica in altri campi.
Kaszás fa parte di vari collettivi, prima di tutto con Lorant Anikó (Ex-artisti ‘collettiva) e Kristóf Krisztián (il Randomroutines). Egli ha partecipato tra le altre a Cargo Collapsism, LF-RMA Gallery, Bratislava (2012) e la Biennale di Sydney (2014).
Durante la sua permanenza con BAU in Alto Adige ( 16 – 30 settembre 2015) Tamás Kaszás realizza l’alveare sperimentale Bauhaus Beehive.
